Springfield Bicycle Club

Welcome

The Springfield Bicycle Club (SBC) is a 501c(3) 380+ member club made up of riders from all over the Springfield, IL and surrounding area. We welcome all types of cyclists and offer a variety of group rides. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have years of experience, it’s likely you’ll find a group ride to suit your style.

Our riding season generally runs from late April to October. In addition to group rides, the SBC offers summer riding programs for both road and gravel. In 2024, we offered our first gravel race and plan to grow that event as we move forward. We also offer the Capital City Century. 2025 will be the 53rd edition of this longstanding road ride that offers distances from a short family ride to the 100-mile century.

We support bicycle advocacy at local and national levels and are an affiliate member of the League of American Bicyclists, RideIllinois, People for Bikes and Rails-to-Trails.
